How it works:
You can buy a neti pot in a kit or by itself. The kit is a good way to start because it contains pre-measured salt packets. The pot is reusable and dishwasher safe. Each kit contains specific directions on how to use it.
I will briefly explain how it works. There is a fill line on the inside of the pot and you fill that with warm (not hot) water. The kit comes with pre-measured salt packs as I stated above. You add half a pack the first time until you are used to the salt. Mix the salt with the water in the pot with the enclosed plastic reusable spoon. Then with your chin at a 90 degree angle over the sink, you place the end of the pot in either nostril and tilt your chin the towards the free nostril while still keeping your head at the 90 degree angle. The water will then flow out the free nostril. It is an odd feeling at first, then you get used to it and it is WONDERFUL for clearing out debris and relieving sinus issues!
