You can cut calories and still gain weight. And you can work out till you pass out and still have that spare tire.
You can slim down fast if you know this one thing.
Here it is: Hormones make you fat. And you can beat them if you know how.
Case in point: insulin is your #1 fat builder. It tells your body to pack on the pounds.
That’s why I tell my patients to stick to foods low on the glycemic index. The higher a food is on the GI, the more insulin your body pumps into your body. As a general rule of thumb, carbs are the foods highest on the GI.
It surprises my patients when I tell them what the highest GI food is that the clinic has ever tested. Care to guess? It’s corn bread.
So every time you take a bite of corn bread, insulin pours into your blood. And it tells your body to store the calories as fat.
Protein and fat, on the other hand, don’t activate this fat builder. If you want to lose fat, eat foods high in protein and rich in healthy fats such as grass-fed beef and wild-caught salmon. And skip the grains and potatoes.
Insulin’s not the only culprit, though. Other hormones also get in on the act. Fortunately, my friend has put together a complete manual on how to lose stubborn fat.
He gets it. He really understands what causes you to get fat, unlike most other doctors I’ve met.
You may have read his book, The Warrior Diet. I read it and loved it. His name is Ori Hofmekler. In fact, I just sent Ori an advanced copy of the new edition of PACE to get his valued opinion.
In The Stubborn Fat Solution, Ori gives you the combination of supplements and foods that, when taken together, virtually never fails in taking the fat away. You get specific meal plans targeted to your condition. And you’ll know exactly what to eat – and what to avoid – for the best results.
